Our Process

1

Reach Out to Us

Reach out via Email, the Website Contact Form or WhatsApp for a free quotation. We’ll go back and forth to ensure we have clear understanding of your expectations and the project scope.

Its key for you to provide as much information as possible, especially when it comes to the accuracy of measurements. The more detail we have, easier it is for us and more importantly, the cheaper it will be for you.

During this stage, deadlines & timescales will be agreed.

4

Revisions

After receiving the initial drawings, you can either approve them in their current form or provide comments for the next revision.

Revisions, unfortunately can vary massively from 5 minute fixes to multi hour ordeals, so these are quoted separately unless stated otherwise on our pricing page.

No deposit is required for revisions. Once we review your comments, we will provide a quotation and proceed following written acceptance.

2

Quote Acceptance

Upon written acceptance of our quotation, new customers are then required to pay a 50% deposit before work begins. If we have worked with you previously, an initial deposit will not be required.

Once this is confirmed, we will begin working on your drawings.

5

Project Completion

Once you are satisfied with the revised drawings, it is your responsibility to ensure everything is correct before confirming approval.

We will then issue the final invoice covering the initial drawing, revisions, and any additional work completed.

Invoices must be paid within the timeframe stated on our pricing page.

3

The Initial Drawing

There is often some further back and forth during this stage. Mainly because it’s easier and more cost effective resolve any misalignment or overlooked details during the drawing process rather than in one large revision at the end, so we will try and cover as much as we can here.

The initial revision of the drawing will then be completed and sent to you as a PDF via email.

About Us

Hoxto started because we kept seeing the same problem on job sites. A lot of tradesmen take on side work or smaller projects without providing any drawings for their clients. That leaves the customer having to trust everything verbally, which isn’t always comfortable or smart.

Most tradesmen skip drawings for one of two reasons: either getting proper plans from a big architectural practice would eat most of the profit, or they just don’t think of it as a realistic option in the first place.

Over time we realised this wasn’t only an issue for tradespeople. Homeowners and end users were also struggling. So we widened our focus. Now we also help everyday people get clear, professional drawings of the work they want done at a fair price.

With good drawings in hand, they can send the same accurate information to several companies and get proper, comparable quotes. It cuts out a huge amount of guesswork and miscommunication before anyone even starts on site.

The company is led by Jacob, who’s based in the East Midlands. He’s a time-served carpenter with broad hands-on experience right across the trade from first and second fixing to complete new builds, renovations, barn conversions, roofing, and creating and installing bespoke joinery. Alongside that practical background, Jacob has experience as a project manager, leading commercial joinery projects that involve detailed technical design for pieces like bespoke reception desks, kitchens, island units, feature ceilings, and much more.
